  Exported the name of a) the top-level libraries directory (e.g. /home2/FlowData/AltProjects/R-devel/library), b) the directory into which the package is being installed (e.g. /home2/FlowData/AltProjects/R-devel/library/MASS) and c) the package name (e.g MASS). These are available to configure and cleanup scripts that get run as part of R INSTALL <pkg>. There are two paragraphs in R-exts.texi.
